Onshore Logistics Manager / Engineer

Onshore Logistics Manager / Engineer – Lowestoft, Suffolk

£650 per day (outside IR35) + onshore office-based + rotation 2wks on/2 wks off + immediate start + min 6-month contract (rolling)

Onshore Logistics Manager / Engineer key responsibilities include:

• Report directly to the Senior Offshore Site Manager on a day-to-day basis to align marine operations with onshore capacity.
• Provide complete administrative and operational support for the Offshore Construction Base (OCB).
• Interface regularly with the local port authorities regarding ongoing site maintenance, vessel berth allocations, and port infrastructure activities.
• Manage the purchase, receipt, and inventory optimization of goods and engineering services routed through the port.
• Control all goods-in/goods-out processes using specialized QR code scanning systems to ensure full component traceability throughout the wind farm lifetime.
• Coordinate physical vessel port calls, load-outs, and associated marine logistics activities.
• Arrange and schedule port plant, heavy lifting gear, and ground equipment necessary to fulfil vessel operations.

Onshore Logistics Manager / Engineer profile:

• Relevant Logistics qualification or similar.
• Min 10yrs proven track record in logistics or distribution management within the marine, offshore oil & gas, or offshore wind sectors.
• Able to demonstrate required experience supporting offshore logistics.
• Experience managing digital inventory systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, or asset-tracking tools.
• Ability to make quick, decisive choices under time-sensitive marine operational environments while maintaining highly proficient tracking accuracy.
