Job Title: OpCon Workload Automation Administrator

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, maintain, and support batch workflows and job dependencies using OpCon Workload Automation.
• Build, maintain, and execute 200+ production batch jobs using OpCon.
• Organize jobs into manageable schedules and optimize batch workflows for reliable execution.
• Install and configure OpCon Workload Automation and manage product version upgrades.
• Import and export job configurations between environments.
• Coordinate with application, infrastructure, technical, and functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve batch failures.
• Perform root cause analysis and support batch framework debugging.
• Monitor batch execution and provide daily status reports to the client and project team.
• Configure batch execution dashboards and alerts based on job exit codes to support production monitoring.
• Work with the OpCon product vendor to address product issues, patches, and technical concerns.
• Create batch process enhancement and change request documentation and provide effort estimates.
• Manage OpCon user accounts and security settings.
• Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts for batch job configuration and automation.
• Perform system administration tasks, including process monitoring, troubleshooting, and debugging.
• Write and maintain SQL queries ranging from simple to complex.
• Support AWS PostgreSQL RDS databases and other AWS cloud resources.
• Work with Azure DevOps to document batch incidents, track issues, coordinate escalations, and maintain knowledge base documentation.
• Create and maintain Splunk indexes for SFTP projects to improve monitoring and visibility of batch cycles through web-based dashboards.
• Support continuous improvement of batch scheduling, monitoring, and production processes.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in batch operations, workload automation, or a related production support role.
• Extensive hands-on experience with OpCon Workload Automation.
• Experience designing, configuring, scheduling, and supporting batch workflows and job dependencies.
• Experience supporting mission-critical batch processing in legacy, distributed, and cloud-hosted environments.
• Experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and managing OpCon Workload Automation.
• Experience importing and exporting OpCon job configurations between environments.
• Strong Unix shell scripting experience.
• Experience troubleshooting batch failures and coordinating resolution with application and infrastructure teams.
• Experience configuring batch monitoring dashboards and alerts based on job exit codes.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for incident tracking and issue management.
• Experience with AWS PostgreSQL RDS and AWS cloud resources.
• Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries.
• Experience with production monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to work in a rotating support schedule, including night shifts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Work Schedule

This position requires participation in a rotating support schedule, including night shifts, to support mission-critical production batch operations.

Pay: $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
