Job Title: OPD Assistant – Doctor / Surgeon

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and well-organized OPD Assistant to assist a Doctor/Surgeon in the smooth management of OPD activities. The candidate will support the doctor during patient consultations, maintain patient records, coordinate with patients, and ensure the OPD runs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Doctor/Surgeon during OPD consultations and patient examinations.
• Prepare patients for consultation and assist with basic clinical procedures as directed by the doctor.
• Record and maintain patient information, medical history, and consultation details.
• Coordinate with patients regarding appointments, follow-ups, and investigations.
• Assist in preparing and organizing medical instruments and examination areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of the doctor's consultation room.
• Coordinate with nursing, laboratory, pharmacy, and other hospital departments when required.
• Handle patient queries professionally and guide patients regarding OPD procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Doctor or Hospital Management.

Requirements

• Diploma/certificate in a relevant healthcare field such as CNA, Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or similar will be preferred.
• Previous experience working with a Doctor, Surgeon, Clinic, or Hospital OPD is preferred.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient handling.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible, punctual, and professional attitude.
• Ability to work in a busy hospital environment.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates who have previously worked as a Doctor's Assistant, OPD Assistant, Clinical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or Surgical Assistant will be preferred.
