Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to early childhood development standards
• Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that promote literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional learning
• Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children, including toddlers and preschoolers
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding child progress, milestones, and any concerns
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety
• Incorporate special education strategies when working with children who have individual learning needs or disabilities
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor developmental progress and inform instruction
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, development milestones, and classroom activities
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, classroom management techniques, and school initiatives

Experience

• Previous classroom experience working with young children in preschool or early childhood education settings
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and lesson planning for early learners
• Knowledge of childhood development principles, including toddler care and early intervention strategies
• Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive classrooms is preferred
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management best practices
• Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in special education or childhood development are advantageous
• Experience teaching physical education or integrating movement into daily activities is a plus
• Prior private school or preschool experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
