Position Overview

Little Stars Academy is seeking a dependable, caring, and energetic Daycare Opener to help prepare the center for the day and provide a warm, welcoming environment for children and families arriving in the morning. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, is reliable, and can confidently manage the early-morning opening routine.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time at 5:15 AM and open the daycare for the day.
• Complete the morning opening checklist and prepare classrooms and common areas.
• Ensure the daycare is clean, safe, and ready for children.
• Welcome children and families as they arrive.
• Supervise children safely during the early-morning hours.
• Assist children with settling into their classrooms and morning routines.
• Provide age-appropriate activities and positive interactions.
• Follow all daycare health, safety, and licensing requirements.
• Communicate important information to teachers and administration.
• Help maintain a positive, nurturing, and respectful environment.
• Complete basic opening and cleaning duties as needed.
• Securely transition children to their regular classroom teachers/staff when they arrive.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding children and families.

Qualifications

• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Enjoys working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
• Ability to provide attentive and active supervision.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Previous childcare experience preferred.
• Must meet all applicable childcare licensing requirements.
• Must be willing to complete required background checks and training.

This is an excellent part-time position for someone who enjoys an early morning schedule and wants to make a positive difference in the lives of young children.

Pay: $11.85 - $15.00 per hour
