What they need
Job Description: The Sr.CoC Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation activities for Telematics and Dashcam. The candidate should have strong leadership skills, a deep technical understanding of embedded hardware design, video signal processing interfaces, power management, camera integration, wireless communication modules, GPS/GNSS, CAN/LIN interfaces, power management, and sensor integration with a focus on designing robust, cost-effective, and high-performance dash cam and telematics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electronic circuits for dash camera and Telematics systems including image sensors, microcontrollers, storage interfaces, and wireless modules selections.
- Guide the team for development of TCU and Dashcam systems from concept to final product. Ensure timely delivery of projects, meeting both technical and budgetary requirements.
- Conduct schematic design, PCB layout reviews, and validation for EMI/EMC, thermal, and environmental compliance.
- Collaborate with mechanical and ECAD design teams to optimize PCB layout for thermal and form factor constraints.
- Maintain design documentation and support design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Integrate communication modules such as 4G/5G, GPS/GNSS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
- Design blocks and interface with vehicle communication buses (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Ensure compliance with relevant automotive standards (ISO 26262, AEC-Q100, etc.) and telecommunication certifications (FCC, CE, etc).
- Support prototypes bring-up, hardware debugging, and root cause analysis using lab tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc).
- Interface with high-speed peripherals (e.g., HDMI, USB, MIPI CSI, SD card, DDR memory).
- Ensure hardware compatibility with embedded software and video processing algorithms.
- Utilize tools like Altium Designer, LTspice, PSpice, SI/PI simulation and similar one to simulate and optimize circuits, evaluate design trade-offs, and ensure system performance.
