OpenShift Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced OpenShift Administrator / OpenShift Engineer (L2) to manage, support, and maintain enterprise-grade OpenShift container platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in OpenShift Administration, Kubernetes, Linux, CI/CD, monitoring, and troubleshooting production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and support Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) environments.
• Perform OpenShift cluster installation, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters, namespaces, operators, deployments, and workloads.
• Monitor cluster health, performance, capacity, and availability.
• Configure and manage LDAP integration, RBAC policies, and user access controls.
• Handle SSL/TLS certificate installation, renewal, and troubleshooting.
• Implement and support backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
• Perform troubleshooting for cluster, application, networking, and storage-related issues.
• Ensure high availability and support zero-downtime upgrades.
• Configure and manage monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk.
• Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Tekton.
• Work closely with application, development, infrastructure, and security teams.
• Maintain operational documentation and standard operating procedures.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in OpenShift Administration.
• Strong knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Docker containerization.
• Expertise in OpenShift Cluster Installation, Upgrades, and Patching.
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift Operators and Namespace Administration.
• Strong knowledge of LDAP Integration and RBAC.
• Experience managing SSL/TLS Certificates.
• Knowledge of Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk.
• Experience with Backup, Restore, and Disaster Recovery planning.
• Strong Linux Administration and Shell Scripting skills.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Tekton.
• Knowledge of Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Excellent troubleshooting and production support experience.
