Opera Implementation SME

We are looking for an experienced OPERA Implementation SME to support OPERA Cloud

implementation, migration, and property transition activities. This role will work closely

with hotel stakeholders throughout the migration from existing Property Management

System environments to OPERA Cloud, helping ensure accurate data migration, proper

system configuration, and minimal disruption to hotel operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with hotel Property Management

Systems (PMS), preferably OPERA v5, combined with a solid understanding of hotel front office and reservation workflows. The professional should also be comfortable learning

Oracle cloud technologies and implementation tools through structured training.

Stakeholder Management

Key Responsibilities

• Support hotel properties throughout their migration and transition to OPERA

Cloud.

• Coordinate implementation and migration activities with hotel stakeholders and

internal teams.

• Use Oracle implementation accelerators and migration tools to support data

mapping, validation, and system cutovers.

• Validate migrated data and assist with identifying and resolving data mapping

discrepancies.

• Support OPERA Cloud configuration and troubleshoot implementation-related

issues.

• Coordinate directly with property-level stakeholders to ensure smooth deployments

and minimal operational downtime.

• Provide guidance to hotel teams during technical and operational transitions.

• Support issue resolution before, during, and after migration/cutover activities.

• Apply knowledge of hotel front-office, reservation, and Property Management

System workflows throughout the implementation process.

• Participate in Oracle training and rapidly develop expertise in OPERA Cloud tools

and processes.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience working with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS).

• Hands-on experience with OPERA PMS, with OPERA v5 highly preferred.

• Good understanding of hotel operations, particularly front-office and reservation

processes.

• Experience supporting system implementations, migrations, upgrades, or

property transitions.

• Ability to understand and execute data mapping, validation, and cutover

activities.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly around configuration

and data discrepancies.

• Strong learning ability and willingness to quickly become proficient with OPERA

Cloud and Oracle implementation tools.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to communicate directly with hotel/property stakeholders and coordinate

implementation activities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous OPERA Cloud implementation or migration experience.

• Experience migrating hotel properties from OPERA v5 to OPERA Cloud.

• Experience working directly with hotel/property teams during go-live or cutover

activities.

• Familiarity with Oracle migration accelerators, implementation methodologies, or

related tools.

• Experience supporting multiple hotel/property implementations.
