Operating Engineer 3

Our client, a leading commercial facilities and property management organization, is seeking an Operating Engineer to join their team. As an Operating Engineer, you will be part of the Facilities Operations team supporting building engineering, HVAC, mechanical systems, and critical facility operations. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, mechanical aptitude, and excellent communication skills which will align successfully in the organization. Location: Cleveland, OH

Pay Range: $35.00/hour

What's the Job?

• Operate, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems, chiller plant equipment, and critical building infrastructure.
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Monitor and operate Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Fire Alarm Systems (FAS).
• Complete work orders, equipment inspections, maintenance documentation, and inventory management.
• Support daily building operations while maintaining safety, compliance, and equipment reliability.

What's Needed?

• Minimum 4+ years of facility engineering, operating engineer, or building maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting HVAC systems, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment.
• Working knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS), life safety systems, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Universal HVAC License required; Boiler License preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
