Operating Room Technician

About the role

Prepare the operating room, equipment, instruments, and supplies for scheduled surgical procedures. Assist in patient transfer and positioning as directed by authorized clinical personnel. Maintain operating room cleanliness and observe infection prevention and control protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, equipment, instruments, and supplies for scheduled surgical procedures
• Check equipment functionality and report malfunctions or deficiencies
• Assist in organizing surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Monitor operating room supplies and report shortages
• Assist in patient transfer and positioning as directed by authorized clinical personnel
• Maintain operating room cleanliness and observe infection prevention and control protocols
• Handle used instruments and equipment according to established procedures
• Perform routine equipment checks and maintain required documentation
• Coordinate with operating room personnel and other concerned departments
• Comply with hospital policies, safety procedures, and patient confidentiality requirements

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in a Medical-Related Field
• Basic operating room procedures
• Equipment handling

• Good organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
