Operation Assistant (Full Time)

About the role

An Operations Assistant role at Books For A Better World, a for-profit social enterprise promoting literacy and reducing book waste. You will help keep day-to-day book movements running smoothly across multiple second-hand bookstores and book corners in the Klang Valley.

Key responsibilities

• Pack, sort, label, load, and unload boxes of books
• Help set up pop-up booths, book fairs, and retail displays—lifting shelves, arranging books, and making things look great
• Travel around the Klang Valley to help collect, transport, and distribute books to various outlets and donation points
• Maintain stock in workspace so the team always knows where the next batch of books is going
• Work closely with the Senior Operations Executive and Founder to tackle daily logistics

About you

• Hold at least an SPM certificate (or equivalent) and general knowledge
• Valid driving license and comfortable navigating Klang Valley roads
• Energetic, and able to move heavy boxes
• Dependable, punctual, and take pride in doing tasks well
• No prior experience in book logistics required—training will be provided
• Strong work ethic, good attitude, and readiness to learn

Pay

• MYR 100.00 per day
