OPERATION DIRECTOR SECURITY

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Director to lead and oversee our security operations in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for operational performance, manpower planning, client management, regulatory compliance, service quality, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily security operations across all deployed sites.
• Manage Operations Managers, Executives, Supervisors, and Security Officers.
• Ensure sufficient manpower coverage and minimise operational shortages.
• Develop deployment plans, duty rosters, contingency plans, and relief arrangements.
• Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and operational audits.
• Ensure all security services meet contractual requirements and service standards.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and respond promptly to feedback or complaints.
• Investigate security incidents, misconduct, absenteeism, and service failures.
• Prepare incident reports and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance with the Private Security Industry Act, PLRD requirements, PWM requirements, MOM regulations, and company policies.
• Monitor employees’ attendance, performance, discipline, training, and licence validity.
• Work closely with Human Resources on recruitment, retention, disciplinary matters, and manpower planning.
• Coordinate with Finance to ensure accurate attendance verification, billing, overtime records, and operational costs.
• Monitor operational budgets, productivity, and profitability.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, service quality, and cost efficiency.
• Support tender submissions, contract renewals, and new-site mobilisation.
• Prepare operational reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Maintain business continuity and respond to urgent incidents outside normal working hours when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Security Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the security industry, including at least 3 years in a senior management position.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore’s private security industry and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Valid security certifications or licences required for the position.
• Proven experience managing multiple security sites and a large operational workforce.
• Strong leadership, manpower planning, client-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage emergencies, operational challenges, and demanding situations effectively.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and security workforce-management systems.
• Possession of a valid Class 3 driving licence is preferred.
• Willing to work flexible hours and remain contactable for urgent operational matters.
