Operation Executive - Air Freight

About the role

Operations Executive - Air Freight role based at Changi Airport, East Region. You will coordinate all aspects of air import and export shipments, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of air import and export shipments.
• Perform vetting and cutting of Air Waybills (AWB).
• Prepare export permit declarations and liaise effectively with shippers, consignees, and airlines.
• Collaborate with Customer Service and Warehouse teams on operational matters to ensure seamless processes.
• Conduct thorough checks and verification of compliance for Dangerous Goods (DG) and Temperature Control cargo.
• Monitor console cut-off and cargo lodge times to ensure timely processing of urgent shipments.
• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all import/export documentation, including MAWB, HAWB, and cargo manifests.
• Verify cargo details such as weight, slip, commercial invoice, and packing list prior to processing documents.
• Handle DG cargo declarations and liaise with third parties for DG packaging in accordance with relevant regulations and checklists (DGR).
• Manage the booking of air shipment space and arrange for pickup (trucking) services.

About you

• 1-2 years of proven experience in Air Export / Import Operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities within air freight logistics.
• Solid understanding of air freight operations, including rating, booking, and customer service.
• Ability to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Strong sense of ownership and proactive approach to responsibilities.
• Positive interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
• Eagerness to learn and maintain a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
• Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite.
