Operation Executive

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily fleet operations, including vehicle scheduling, maintenance planning, and route optimisation
• Monitor and track vehicle performance, fuel consumption, and maintenance records to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
• Communicate with drivers, mechanics, and other team members to ensure timely resolution of operational issues and minimise downtime
• Prepare operational reports and analyse data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
• Manage vehicle documentation, including licensing, insurance, and inspection records, ensuring all compliance obligations are met
• Assist in budget management for fleet operations, including fuel costs, maintenance expenses, and equipment procurement
• Liaise with customers and internal departments to coordinate shipments and ensure on-time delivery
• Support the implementation of safety protocols and best practices across fleet operations
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in fleet management, logistics operations, or a related field within the transport and logistics industry
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with the capacity to manage multiple operational priorities simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency in using fleet management software, transport management systems, and Microsoft Office applications
• Sound knowledge of vehicle maintenance, driver management, and regulatory compliance requirements in the logistics sector
• Analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data and generate actionable insights
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in record-keeping and reporting
• A relevant qualification or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or fleet management would be advantageous
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices in the logistics industry
