Operation Manager

Job Summary:

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the plant to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production. This role manages operational teams, coordinates plant activities, and ensures production targets, quality standards, and regulatory requirements are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Oversee Plant Operations: Manage daily plant activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

·        Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.

·        Process Optimization: Monitor plant performance data and suggest improvements to increase throughput and reduce chemical consumption.

·        Monitor Production Performance: Track plant performance, production output, and operational efficiency.

·        Manage Operational Teams: Supervise engineers, supervisors, and operators to ensure effective workforce coordination.

·        Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce downtime, and optimize operational costs.

·        Coordinate Maintenance Activities: Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability and minimal operational disruption.

·        Safety Management: Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to company safety procedures.

·        Operational Reporting: Prepare operational reports and provide updates to senior management.

·        Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with laboratory, logistics, and business development teams to support overall plant operations.

Qualifications:

·        Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related field).

·        Language Skill: English, Bahasa Malaysia. Proficient in Chinese is added advantage.

·        Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of experience in industrial plant operations or waste management industry.

·        Basic understanding of ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).

·        Certifications: Possession of a CePSWAM (Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management) or CePIETSO certification is a significant advantage.

·        Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, the ability to work in industrial environments, and a high level of integrity regarding environmental data.
