Operation Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and improving the company's day-to-day operational activities to ensure smooth, efficient, and cost-effective business operations. This role will work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Finance, Marketing and Management to ensure strong coordination across inventory, order fulfilment, logistics and overall operational processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage overall daily operational activities and workflow

• Ensure smooth coordination between Sales, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Finance and other departments

• Monitor order processing, stock allocation, delivery and customer fulfilment to ensure accuracy and timeliness

• Work closely with Warehouse teams to maintain healthy inventory levels and minimize out-of-stock, overstock and ageing stock

• Monitor logistics and delivery performance, including coordination with transporters, courier companies, freight forwarders and 3PL partners

• Ensure operational SOPs, policies and internal controls are properly implemented and followed

• Identify operational gaps, bottlenecks and inefficiencies and implement corrective actions

• Improve processes to increase productivity, accuracy and cost efficiency

• Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization

• Ensure accurate documentation, reporting and record keeping

• Hands-on, detail-oriented, highly organized and solution-driven

• Ability to identify operational gaps and implement effective improvements

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably with experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong operational planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
• Good analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Able to work independently, take ownership and make timely decisions.
• Strong communication and cross-department coordination skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or inventory management systems is preferred.
• Experience in the beauty, FMCG, retail or distribution industry will be an added advantage.
• Experience in logistics, warehousing, inventory management and distribution will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge or experience in import/export, freight forwarding, customs clearance and 3PL management will be advantageous.
