Job Description:

• The Operations Manager will be responsible for initially setting up operations for a new metal cutting center and continuously ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and meeting production targets.
• This role requires self-initiative and self-management, excellent problem-solving skills, and a thorough understanding of production management in the metalworking industry.
• Fluent English is a requirement to ensure smooth communication with the regional team and senior management
• Manage Production Operations: Oversee the entire production process, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations. Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products.
• Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet the highest standards. Address any quality issues promptly and work towards continuous improvement.
• Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization. Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed.
• Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Promote a culture of safety and implement measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished products. Coordinate with the order management team to ensure timely availability of materials as well as dispatch to customers.
• Cost Management: Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Prepare and manage the production budget.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity. Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports on production performance, including key metrics such as output, efficiency, and quality. Present findings to senior management and suggest actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Production Management, or a related field
• Fluent English language skills
• Forklift driving license an added advantage
• Hands-on within the production and warehouse facilities
• Physically demanding
• Working on a computer
