- Oversee daily operations of the cancer centre, including patient scheduling, workflow, and treatment coordination.
- Ensure smooth and timely delivery of cancer care services with minimal waiting time.
- Optimise resource allocation, facility utilisation, and service capacity.
- Drive achievement of departmental KPIs (e.g., patient throughput, waiting time, service turnaround time, and operational efficiency).
- Implement corrective action plans to address performance gaps.
- Manage the centre within the approved annual budget.
- Monitor operational costs, including manpower, consumables, equipment, and maintenance.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and operational efficiency improvement.
- Support staff training, development, and competency compliance.
- Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support audits, inspections, and accreditation processes (e.g., ACHS and MSQH).
- Ensure a high standard of patient care, comfort, and service quality.
- Address patient feedback and implement service improvement initiatives.
- Enhance the overall patient journey and patient satisfaction.
- Support operational readiness for new equipment, services, and future expansion.
- Identify opportunities for new services, referral pathways, strategic collaborations, and business development initiatives to enhance the cancer centre’s capabilities, market reach, and patient access.
