Operation Manager

About the role

Yummy Food Fabrication & Chain Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Operation Manager to join our team on a full-time basis in the Sembawang North Region. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food fabrication and chain facilities, ensuring efficient, safe and profitable operations whilst maintaining our high standards of quality and service delivery. This position is pivotal to our success and will require you to manage resources, staff and processes with precision and excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all daily operational activities within the food fabrication and chain facilities, ensuring smooth and efficient running of all processes
• Develop, implement and maintain operational policies, procedures and systems to optimise productivity and quality standards
• Manage and lead operational teams, including recruitment, training, performance management and staff development
• Monitor and control operational costs, budgets and expenditure to ensure profitability and financial efficiency
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety and hygiene regulations, as well as food safety standards and industry requirements
• Coordinate with supply chain and procurement teams to manage inventory, materials and resource planning
• Implement quality assurance measures and conduct regular audits to maintain consistent product and service quality
• Analyse operational metrics and key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
• Liaise with senior management to report on operational performance and present strategic recommendations
• Manage equipment maintenance schedules and oversee facility upkeep to ensure optimal working conditions

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Management, Engineering or a related discipline; professional qualifications such as APICS or equivalent are advantageous
• Minimum 5-7 years of operations management experience, preferably within the food manufacturing, food fabrication or food service industry
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale operations, multi-site facilities or complex supply chain environments
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, hygiene standards and compliance requirements (such as HACCP or ISO certifications)
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate, develop and manage diverse teams
• Proficiency in operational planning, budgeting, cost control and financial analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels of the organisation
• Demonstrated experience with operational systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and data management tools
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable
• Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and adapt to changing circumstances
