Operation Manager

About the role

We are a growing technology startup looking for a hands-on and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, coordinate multiple departments and support business growth. The ideal candidate must be adaptable, resourceful and comfortable working in a startup environment where processes are continuously being developed and improved.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Merchant Management and Finance.
• Develop and improve SOPs, workflows, internal policies and operational processes.
• Plan and execute business strategies, growth initiatives and operational improvements.
• Monitor departmental KPIs, budgets, sales performance and business targets.
• Coordinate marketing campaigns, merchant onboarding and marketplace operations.
• Manage cross-functional teams, staff performance and recruitment requirements.
• Work closely with IT teams on system improvements and project implementation.
• Prepare management reports, business proposals, financial analysis and presentations.
• Support senior management in business expansion, partnerships and corporate initiatives.

About you

• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations or business management, preferably with leadership experience.
• Experience in startups, technology, SaaS, e-commerce or service industries is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Good understanding of business operations, budgeting, KPIs and process improvement.
• Able to multitask, work independently and adapt to changing business priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and business reporting.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Hands-on and willing to take ownership.
• Resourceful, proactive and solution-oriented.
• Strong team player with a positive working attitude.
