Operation Manager/Asst Operation Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations and Customer Services Team Leader to manage our support team and ensure the smooth delivery of our services. This is a critical role that requires a blend of operational management, technical understanding, and exceptional people skills. You will also work closely with our IT Team to ensure operational systems, customer platforms, and business tools are aligned with our technology roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the operations and customer service team to ensure smooth daily execution and high performance.

• Oversee the customer service function to ensure high satisfaction and retention rates.

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve SOPs to drive efficiency, scalability, and quality in an IoT startup environment.

• Responsible for strategic planning and operational efficiency to maximize profits and minimize costs.

• Track operational KPIs and implement data-driven improvements.

• Utilize Odoo ERP to manage workflows, track customer interactions, and generate operational reports.

• Analyze complex operational issues and provide effective solutions to improve platform reliability and customer satisfaction.

• Work closely with Sales, IT, and technical teams to relay client feedback, identify platform improvements, and ensure seamless service delivery.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, Logistics, Marketing, or a related field.
• 5-8+ years in operations management, sales, and/or business development, ideally within technology, logistics, supply chain, mobility, or IoT/AI-driven industries.
• Hands-on experience with SaaS, software, IoT, telematics, or enterprise technology solutions, plus understanding of fleet management, GPS tracking, cloud platforms, and mobile applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Cantonese (Mandarin is a plus).
• Strong PC skills (MS Office) and an interest in using IT to solve operational inefficiencies.
• Strong ability to work cross-functionally, particularly with technical/IT teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, detail-minded, strong skills in Project Management, ability to work under pressure, and a hands-on approach to leadership.
