Role & responsibilities

• Prepare the OT, instruments, equipment, and consumables before procedures.
• Assist doctors and the surgical team during OT procedures.
• Maintain proper sterilization, disinfection, and infection-control standards.
• Handle and maintain OT instruments and equipment efficiently.
• Ensure availability and proper arrangement of surgical supplies and consumables.
• Assist with patient preparation and positioning as required.
• Follow biomedical waste management and OT safety protocols.
• Maintain OT registers, records, and procedure-related documentation.
• Coordinate with nursing, anesthesia, housekeeping, and other clinical teams.
• Ensure the OT is cleaned, organized, and ready for the next procedure.
• Immediately report equipment issues, stock shortages, or safety concerns to the concerned authority.
