Operational Excellence Project Manager

Logistics:

• Warren, MA on-site 5 days per week
• 6-month contract with likelihood for extensions and/or conversion

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 5+ years of experience leading projects in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Strong understanding of machining and manufacturing processes.

• Experience working with manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, CNC programmers, production teams, and other technical stakeholders.

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholders simultaneously.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence teams from the shop floor through senior leadership.

• Ability to thrive in a highly regulated, high-mix/low-volume manufacturing environment.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• PMP Certification.

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.

• Familiarity with manufacturing and quality standards such as ASME, NAVSEA, MIL-SPEC, ISO 9001, or similar regulated industry requirements.

Job Description

• Lead a portfolio of Operational Excellence projects across Lean Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and CNC Programming.

• Translate business priorities into structured project plans with defined scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and success metrics.

• Establish project governance, schedules, risk management processes, and escalation paths.

• Manage multiple concurrent projects while balancing resources and priorities.

• Facilitate cross-functional project reviews and communicate status updates, risks, and recovery plans to leadership.

• Remove barriers to execution and ensure teams remain focused on high-value operational initiatives.

• Drive projects from initial problem identification through implementation, validation, standardization, and sustainment.

• Track financial and operational impact to ensure project goals and commitments are achieved.

• Coordinate technical resources and stakeholders to improve productivity and operational performance.

Compensation:

$42/hr to $53/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
