About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operational Manager to join CHOOK AND ROOS SPORTS BAR in Badung, Bali. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth, efficient and profitable operation of our establishment. As Operational Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations, managing staff, maintaining service standards, and driving business success. This role is integral to achieving our business objectives and delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all daily operational activities including food and beverage service, kitchen operations, and bar management
• Manage and supervise staff scheduling, training, and performance management to ensure optimal team productivity
• Maintain strict adherence to health, safety and hygiene standards across all areas of the establishment
• Monitor inventory levels, coordinate ordering, and manage supplier relationships to control costs
• Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service and guest satisfaction through regular monitoring and quality assurance
• Manage financial performance including budgeting, cash handling, and cost control initiatives
• Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally to maintain positive relationships and brand reputation
• Implement and enforce company policies, procedures and standard operating procedures
• Liaise with senior management on operational challenges, performance metrics and strategic initiatives
• Contribute to marketing and promotional activities to drive business growth and customer retention

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of operational management experience in hospitality, food and beverage, or bar establishments
• Proven track record of successfully managing teams and delivering consistent operational excellence
• Strong knowledge of hospitality standards, health and safety regulations, and food preparation practices
• Excellent financial acumen with demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate diverse teams
• Customer service excellence with a proven ability to handle difficult situations professionally
• Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and other hospitality management software
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Previous experience in a sports bar, restaurant or entertainment venue is highly desirable
