What they need

Operational Supervisor (Events & Logistics)

Location: Blyth (covering the North & Scotland)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (with brilliant seasonal flexibility)

If you are tired of the same old boring routine, stuck behind a counter or staring at a screen, this is the change you’ve been looking for.We are a thriving, fast-paced equipment hire company specializing in commercial inflatables and entertainment gear. We don’t do boring retail—we bring the energy to events across the North East and Scotland.

We are looking for a practical, switched-on Operational Supervisor to lead our team, manage our logistics, and ensure our events run like clockwork.

You don't need previous events experience. If you are reliable, know how to manage a team, and aren't afraid of a bit of hard graft, we will train you on everything else.

Why You’ll Love This Role (The Perks)

  • Winter Income Security: The biggest worry with seasonal work is the winter slump. We solve that with our Summer Hours Banking Scheme. Earn extra cash during our booming summer months and bank those hours to guarantee a steady, reliable paycheck and extra paid time off when things quieten down in winter.
  • Control Your Week: You are the master of the staff rota. While our weekend event schedule is set in stone, you have the autonomy to shape your own midweek hours for admin, cleaning, and maintenance—as long as the jobs get done and every hire is covered.
  • Great Benefits: We keep you looking sharp with a branded uniform, offer overtime opportunities to boost your earnings, and give you staff discounts on our equipment for your own family parties.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

This is a highly active, hands-on leadership role. No two days are ever the same:

  • The Logistics: Loading up the vans efficiently, planning the smartest routes, and driving our commercial vehicles safely to venues across the North East and Scotland.
  • On-Site Leadership: Heading up the physical setup, inflation, safety anchoring, and pack-down of our gear. You’ll keep a close eye on the weather and make the final call on-site to keep everyone safe.
  • Team & Rota Management: Building the staff rotas, managing our casual crew on-site, and making sure we have 100% staff coverage for every single hire.
  • Keeping Us Safe: Managing vehicle maintenance logs, equipment safety checks, and keeping our high Health & Safety standards top tier.

The Reality Check (Hours & Schedule)

We want to be completely honest about the commitment required to succeed here:

  • Your Base: You'll start and finish every shift at our unit in Blyth.
  • The Non-Negotiables: Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays are our busiest days. You must be available to work these days every week.
  • Peak Season Push: When we are busy (June, July, August, and December), you'll need the flexibility to pull extra days—including Sundays and Bank Holidays. Shifts can start as early as 7:00 AM or finish late when events are live.
  • Winter Scale-Down: Operations naturally slow down to 20–30 hours per week over winter, which is where your banked summer hours kick in to keep your income stable.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Confident Drivers: You must hold a full UK driving licence and be totally comfortable driving large, long-wheelbase commercial vans.
  • Physically Fit: This job is a workout. You need to be physically capable of heavy lifting, loading, and manoeuvring large event equipment.
  • Weatherproof: You’ll be working outdoors a lot, so you need to be comfortable working in whatever the British weather throws at us.
  • Calm Leaders: A great communicator who can motivate a young, casual crew and keep a professional, calm head when talking to our clients.
