What they need
Want a role where you're more than just a number? And a role where you can take ownership and enjoy coming to work?
Our client is looking for a highly organised, independent and people-focused Operations & Administration Coordinator to join a small, close-knit branch team. This is a varied role where you’ll be the go-to person for branch administration, working closely with the Branch Manager, Yard Manager, Engineer and wider teams nationwide.
The team is small, informal and hands-on, with around 2 to 3 people in the yard alongside the office team. It’s a friendly environment with plenty of teamwork, open communication and a bit of banter.
You’ll have the autonomy to make the role your own and become an important part of the branch.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing day-to-day branch administration, including emails, phones, filing and office supplies
- Being a key contact for customers, suppliers, drivers and contractors
- Managing customer accounts, including invoicing, receivables, payables and credit management
- Processing sales, hires, transfers, deliveries and returns
- Coordinating transport and keeping operational records up to date
- Working closely with the Yard Manager on stock movements and discrepancies
- Supporting sales enquiries and liaising with Sales Representatives
- Working with the national teams to coordinate stock and operational requirements
- Supporting local Health & Safety, including inductions, equipment records and near-miss reporting
- Managing purchase orders, GRNs, supplier invoices and general branch requirements
- Identifying issues and taking ownership of getting them resolved
About you:
- Experience in operations, administration, office coordination or a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management
- Confidence dealing with customers, suppliers and internal teams
- Experience with accounts, invoicing, purchase orders or reconciliations
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly
- Experience with CRM/ERP systems; Axapta/AX experience would be an advantage
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and a willingness to get stuck in
- A positive personality and the ability to work well in a small team
Why you’ll enjoy it:
This is not a corporate environment where you’ll be one of many. You’ll have genuine ownership of the branch administration and the freedom to make the role your own.
There’s plenty to learn, including the systems, products, processes and industry, but you’ll receive support and training from experienced team members nationwide.
If you enjoy variety, autonomy, a good team culture and a workplace where you can laugh while getting the job done, this could be a great opportunity for you.
Bring your organisational skills, personality and can-do attitude & we’ll help you learn the rest!
Feel free to contact Jen via [021 675 498](tel:021 675 498) for a confidential chat.
