What they need

Electric Kiwi has been shaking up the power sector since 2014. Today we’re a proud bunch of innovators disrupting electricity, broadband and mobile. Founded by Kiwis, for Kiwis, we operate some of Aotearoa’s fastest-growing brands, including Electric Kiwi and Kiwi Mobile.

We’re a team of almost 200 peeps and our purpose is simple: we exist to make it better, for our customers, our people and our business!

We’ve got a bold strategy and big ambitions to deliver innovation and a digital-first customer service, with relentless commitment to our customers.

We’re looking for an Operations Analyst who loves getting into the nitty-gritty, asking “surely there’s a better way?” and then helping make it happen.

You’ll own key operational processes, work across Product, Technology and Service, and help us build smarter ways of working through AI, automation and good old-fashioned problem solving.

We’re looking for people who bring:

  • Curiosity, courage, and a growth mindset that isn’t limited to what's been done in the past
  • Comfort with ambiguity and change. Priorities shift, things move fast, and the path isn't always clear. You're the kind of person who figures it out and keeps things moving.
  • Respect for others and a collaborative spirit
  • Desire to challenge the status quo and build along the way
  • Keen to incorporate AI into all the things!

What you'll do:

  • Build deep knowledge of our operational processes and become a trusted go-to across your area.
  • Monitor how processes are performing, investigate issues and get to the root cause before they become bigger customer or business problems.
  • Work alongside Product, Technology and Service teams on platform delivery, helping gather requirements, contribute to scoping and bring the operational reality into the conversation.
  • Coordinate operational projects and initiatives, keeping dependencies, stakeholders and delivery moving.
  • Find opportunities to improve the way we work through better processes, AI, automation and new technology.
  • Represent Operations across the business and build the relationships that help us get good stuff done faster.
  • Help make sure our compliance obligations are covered, with solid processes for monitoring and managing risk across both manual and automated operations.

What you'll bring:

  • Around 2–4 years' experience in an operations, business analysis, process improvement or similar role.
  • Strong stakeholder skills and experience working across different teams to get to an outcome.
  • An analytical brain and an eye for detail. You're comfortable digging into data, investigating exceptions and making recommendations based on what you find.
  • Confidence working alongside technology teams. You don't need to be a developer, but you can follow technical conversations and translate between business and technical language.
  • Experience coordinating projects or workstreams, managing dependencies and getting things over the line.
  • An understanding of what it means to work in a regulated environment and why getting the detail right matters.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience in energy, utilities or telco.
  • Exposure to AI, automation or technology-led transformation.

But if you haven't worked in our industry before, don't let that put you off. The right mindset matters more.

How we make it better for you

  • 5 extra days of paid leave
  • Hybrid working
  • EAP through Clearhead
  • A share programme, cause success is sweeter when it’s shared
  • 50% off public transport
  • Office doggos
  • Epic office views

Most importantly, you’ll be joining a team where you can ask questions, challenge how things are done, and genuinely help shape what comes next.

If you’re someone who looks at a process and immediately starts wondering “surely there’s a better way to do this?”, we’d love to hear from you.

Tell us how you can make it better!

To be eligible for this role, you must have permanent working rights in NZ.

Other offers great for you!
