Operations Analyst

Job Description: The Operations Analyst supports Operations and Finance by providing accurate financial reporting, operational analysis, and resource planning to improve the performance and profitability of the company's operations. This position is responsible for tracking job costs, monitoring equipment expenses, analyzing equipment utilization, and assisting with the allocation of labor, equipment, and budget resources across projects and the fleet.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Work with Sales and operations teams to schedule Paving, Concrete, Milling and Excavation crews ensuring optimal efficiencies and maintaining the schedule in Field Service.

· Work with Ops leadership to schedule internal trucks, external brokered trucks and other resources to achieve peak production.

· Support Project Managers, Foremen and Crew Members to ensure that Microsoft Field Service accurately represents job status, time entries, ticket management, etc..

· Maintain reporting for project management and sales team to analyze job cost reporting and budgets to actuals. Facilitate and track job cost reviews in support of operational leadership.

· Track and monitor field labor, start times, clock ins and outs and ensure accuracy in payroll and job costing.

· Track and monitor truck status to ensure cost efficiency as it relates to truck time on jobs.

· Track and budget for fleet maintenance and equipment and support operational leadership in driving compliance with purchasing policies and procedures and preventative maintenance on equipment.

· Procurement support to evaluate multiple options and communicate with vendors to optimize pricing.

• Work closely with the Shop to monitor maintenance expenses, repair costs, parts usage, and shop labor.
• Maintain accurate equipment cost records and reporting to support operational and financial decisions.
• Assist with allocating equipment and operational resources across projects to maximize productivity and control costs.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

· 3 + years with a construction background.

· Ability to understand office work and how it facilitates success in the field.

· Ability to pivot quickly and think of solutions.

· Good communication skills and ability to lead and manage teams.

· Microsoft Office and other basic computer technologies

· Ability to learn Dynamics 365 Field Service and manage it on a day-to-day basis to schedule and plan work orders as well as manage capacity.

· Ability to manage equipment tracking and preventative maintenance schedules.

· Proficient in managing budgets and schedules

· Ability to quickly learn and communicate with multiple internal and external resources including internal and external drivers, Asphalt, Concrete and Stone providers

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
