What they need
Operations & Data Manager
Fully remote (UK/Europe) | £45,000-£50,000 DOE + up to 10% performance bonus | Full-time
You'll lead and scale our operations department, building and running the system that keeps every campaign on track, spots slippage early, and makes sure what we sell is what we deliver. We've worked with Lululemon, Starface, Huel and AG1, and our clients range from 7 to 9 figures in revenue.
Augmentum is a premium influencer marketing agency helping D2C brands scale profitably through influencer, creator and affiliate marketing. We're a fully remote team of 30 and growing fast.
Our campaign managers run brilliant campaigns. What we need now is someone who owns the system around them: the handover from signed deal to live campaign, the early-warning signals on every account, and the capacity to deliver it all. You'll work with delivery, not in it.
Why this role is different
You report directly to the founder and work as his right hand. That means you'll see the deeper workings of an agency that most people never get near: margins by client, capacity across every pod, why accounts churn, why they stay, and how decisions get made at the top.
Being his right hand means taking operational decisions off his desk, not adding to it. You'll own a growing share of how the agency runs, and you'll bring him recommendations, not problems.
Every week you'll be in the room for the decisions that shape the business, and you'll learn how a founder thinks about growth, people and profit. For someone who wants to run operations at a senior level one day, there's no faster way to learn it.
The role
You'll sit across every client account and all six of our delivery pods, with a working relationship with the campaign manager in each one. This isn't a client-facing role. Our campaign managers own the client relationship and the results. You own the system that helps them deliver. You own four things:
Sales to delivery handover.
The gap between what a client expects and what we deliver is our biggest churn risk, and you close it. When a client signs, you make sure the plan, targets and resourcing match what was sold, the Campaign Manager's plan is signed off before launch, and the first weeks run without surprises.
The campaign health system.
Campaign Managers own whether their campaigns hit target. You own the system that tells everyone early when they won't: our RAG framework, the early-warning signals, and the amber-to-green process. When a campaign turns amber or red, you make sure there's a clear recovery plan and that it actually gets followed through.
Capacity, utilisation and recovery.
You project team capacity weeks ahead. Our dashboard compares projected hours against actual hours tracked in Toggl, and projected margin against actual margin. You spot where they drift, find out why, and fix it. That might be someone under on a campaign, a pod that's overstretched, or an account that's quietly being over-serviced. You tell us when we need to hire before it becomes urgent.
Data and reporting.
You turn our numbers into clear, actionable reporting for the founder: which client types eat more hours than they pay for, where time is leaking, and which pods need support. Rate cards, utilisation targets and margin targets are set by our finance lead. You work to them and flag early where reality is drifting.
You'll also work closely with our automation lead, who builds our internal tools. You find where our operations are weak and where time is going. They build the fix. The better your diagnosis, the better what gets built.
Day to day, that looks like reviewing every new client handover, running the weekly health check with Campaign Managers, digging into why a number is behind, checking projected against actual hours and margin, and building capacity forecasts.
Who owns what
Commercial lead and strategy owner (Growth Director/Founders):
what we sell, the client's commercial terms and the campaign strategy
Account lead (the pod's Campaign Manager):
the client relationship, delivery and the result
Operations & Data Manager (you):
the handover, the health system, capacity and the data behind all of it
When something needs escalating, it goes in this order:
You and the Campaign Manager
agree on a fix at pod level. Most things should end here.
The Growth Director
comes in when the fix touches scope, commercial terms or strategy.
The founder
makes the final call on anything still unresolved, including when you've reassigned bandwidth and a Campaign Manager disagrees. You bring it with a recommendation.
How you'll be measured
Billable utilisation
against the target set by finance, across every pod
Recovery:
actual margin against projected margin on every account, so high utilisation never hides an over-serviced client
Amber-to-green time:
how quickly at-risk and off-track campaigns get back on track
Plan hit rate:
the share of campaigns hitting their targets across all Campaign Managers
Handover quality:
new clients live on time, with a signed-off plan that matches the sell
Who we're looking for
- You've worked agency side for at least 4 years, ideally 5 or more, in an operations, delivery or account management role. Agency experience is essential. Influencer or creator marketing agency experience is ideal
- You plan ahead. You see bottlenecks coming weeks out and you've already got a fix lined up
- You're a genuinely strong problem solver. You get to the root cause, not the symptom, and you come with a fix, not just a flag
- You're comfortable with numbers. Utilisation, recovery, margin and capacity planning don't scare you, and you can build a forecast that holds up
- You're analytical by instinct. You spot patterns in large amounts of data that other people miss, and you turn them into something someone can act on
- You define what good looks like and set clear guardrails, then let the pods flex how they get there. You keep us fast, not bureaucratic
- You hold people to account in a way that feels like support, not scrutiny. You start with curiosity, ask what's getting in the way, and help clear it. Campaign Managers come to you early because you make their job easier
- You're strong in spreadsheets and confident in tools like Asana, Toggl and Miro, and you keep them clean. You don't need to build tools, we have someone for that, but you need to know what to ask for
- You want to learn fast, take feedback well, and grow into a senior operations leader
What you get
- £45,000-£50,000 depending on experience, plus a performance bonus of up to 10% based on individual and company performance
- You work directly with the founder, with training from him and full sight of how an agency really runs
- Real authority: you can reassign bandwidth across pods and operate with the freedom of senior management
- A real say in our systems. You'll shape how the whole delivery team runs
- Dedicated personal development budget for training, courses and conferences
- Full company shutdown over Christmas, so the whole team properly switches off
- Fully remote
