Xpress is a Philippines-based mobility and transport platform. We operate our own EV/hybrid taxi fleet alongside a marketplace of independent drivers across Metro Manila and regional cities. Our drivers are the backbone of the business — if they succeed, we succeed. This role exists to make sure we understand, in data, how our driver operations are actually performing.

Why This Role Exists

We manage hundreds of drivers across multiple vehicle types (sedan, SUV, motorcycle, taxi, e-trike) and multiple cities. Operations leaders need a daily, zone-level read on how the supply side of the marketplace is performing — not monthly summaries, not gut feel. This role gives them that read.

What You Will Own

• Driver Activation Funnel — Track the driver journey from signup through document submission, approval, first trip, and ongoing activity. Identify where drivers stall or drop out, and quantify activation rates by source and vehicle type
• Shift & Availability Reporting — Report on driver availability, shift patterns, and compliance with scheduled shifts. Surface whether drivers are actually online when and where they are supposed to be
• Trips & Earnings Analysis — Build dashboards showing trips per driver per day, earnings distribution, and utilization rates — broken down by zone, vehicle type, and time period. Flag when any zone drops below target thresholds
• Driver Retention & Early Warning — Identify early-warning signals for driver churn: declining trips, missed shifts, extended offline periods. Deliver weekly flags to the operations team so they can intervene before a driver goes inactive
• Zone-Level Performance — Report on revenue per trip, cost per completed ride, and promotional impact at the zone and vehicle-type level. Help the operations and finance teams understand which zones are profitable and which are being subsidized
• Operations Council Support — Be the data representative in weekly operations meetings. Prepare the numbers, present the read, answer the questions

What We Are Looking For

• 2-3 years of experience in data analytics, operations analytics, or business intelligence
• Strong SQL skills — you will query production databases with transactional data, timestamps, status codes, and location coordinates daily
• Experience building operational dashboards that teams use for daily or weekly decision-making
• Comfort with messy, real-world data — missing fields, inconsistent statuses, time zone issues
• Reliability — operations teams need their numbers on time, every time
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical operations managers

Nice to Have

• Experience in logistics, delivery, transport, or fleet operations
• Familiarity with geographic/location data (latitude/longitude, geofencing concepts)
• Experience with Databricks, BigQuery, or a similar cloud data warehouse
• Experience with a product analytics tool (Amplitude, Mixpanel)
• Basic Python for data cleaning or automation

What You Should Know

This is an operations-facing role. Your primary stakeholders are the people managing drivers and fleet on the ground. The pace is fast and the questions are practical: How many drivers were active in this zone yesterday? Why did trips drop on Thursday? Are new drivers actually completing their first ride within the first week? If you enjoy being close to the real business — vehicles on the road, drivers earning money, passengers getting rides — this is the role.
