Operations & Inventory Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Operations & Inventory Coordinator to manage and supervise the day-to-day execution of our service kill production.

This role acts as the key link between our Sales Team, livestock operations, processing facilities, warehouse and management.

Based on daily sales requirements and production instructions, you will coordinate and supervise slaughter and production activities, ensure required products and specifications are produced correctly, monitor production output and yields, and maintain accurate control of finished goods and inventory.

This is a hands-on operational role requiring regular communication with processing facilities and active supervision of production.

Key Responsibilities

Production Coordination

• Coordinate daily service kill production based on instructions and requirements from the Sales Team
• Prepare and communicate daily production requirements to the processing facility
• Coordinate daily slaughter numbers and production plans
• Monitor production progress throughout the day and ensure production is completed according to instructions
• Ensure required products, cuts, specifications, quantities and packing requirements are correctly followed
• Adjust production priorities when sales requirements or livestock availability change
• Liaise directly with abattoir and production staff regarding operational issues
• Follow up production shortages, delays, quality issues and discrepancies
• Regularly attend processing facilities to supervise and monitor service kill operations

Production Control & Reporting

• Record and reconcile daily livestock receivals and slaughter numbers
• Reconcile livestock processed against finished products and by-products
• Maintain daily production reports
• Monitor production performance and report significant variances to management
• Assist with mutton and lamb production costing
• Compare expected production/yields against actual results

Inventory & Warehouse Control

• Maintain accurate finished goods inventory records
• Monitor daily stock movements, transfers and dispatches
• Coordinate stock allocation according to sales requirements
• Reconcile physical stock against production and inventory records
• Coordinate and participate in regular stocktakes
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams regarding product movements and dispatch requirements

Sales & Operations Coordination

• Work closely with the Sales Team to understand current orders and product requirements
• Translate sales requirements into daily production instructions

About You

• Previous experience in meat processing, abattoir operations, food production, inventory control or production planning is highly regarded
• Experience coordinating or supervising production operations
• Strong understanding of inventory and stock control
• Good numerical and reconciliation skills
• Strong Excel skills
• Able to work closely with sales, production, warehouse and logistics teams
• Comfortable working in an operational and processing environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to respond quickly when production plans change
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Able to take ownership of daily production from instruction through to completion

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the entire daily service kill operational process.

The role is not limited to data entry or inventory administration. The successful candidate will receive production requirements from the Sales Team, coordinate and supervise production at the processing facility, monitor what is actually produced, manage finished goods inventory and ensure that production and stock records are accurate. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is preferred, as the role involves regular communication with both English and Chinese-speaking stakeholders.

Pay: $53,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
