What they need
Build the engine room of a new Australian operation
Our client is a well-established global company that is now growing its Australian presence. The local team is small, the plans are big, and they need someone who can make sure stock arrives, leaves and gets paid for without fuss.
This isn't a “stay in your lane” job. You'll work across logistics, inventory, invoicing and office support. Reporting to the Group Operations team based in Singapore, you'll be the person both the local team and Group Operations rely on to get things done.
What your week might look like
Moving goods across borders
- Booking and coordinating domestic and international freight, from paperwork through to customs clearance
- Working with freight forwarders, customs brokers and carriers to track shipments and fix delays before they become problems
- Helping with forecasting, order processing and stock replenishment
Keeping stock under control
- Being the main contact for an outsourced (third-party) warehouse: receiving, storage, pick-pack and dispatch
- Running regular stock counts and reconciliations so the system matches what's actually on the shelf
- Spotting shortages or discrepancies early and raising them with suppliers
Keeping the money side accurate
- Matching supplier invoices and purchase orders against goods received and agreed pricing
- Raising customer invoices and following up on overdue payments with the finance team
- Keeping clean records of expenses and reconciliations, and helping with month-end reporting
Keeping the office running
- Handling office supplies and organise team events (when applicable)
- Pitching in wherever the local team needs a hand
You'll do well here if you…
- Have around 5 years' experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain or operations
- Know your way around freight forwarders, customs brokers and inventory or warehouse systems
- Have worked in a small or growing business and like wearing more than one hat
- Have international or multi-country logistics experience (a strong plus)
- Are organised, accurate and calm when juggling several priorities
- Are comfortable with Microsoft Office and basic invoicing or bookkeeping
- Can work independently while keeping the Group Operations team in the loop
- Nice to have: A diploma or degree in supply chain, logistics or business (relevant hands-on experience counts too)
What's in it for you
- A ground-floor role in a growing Australian operation, where you'll help shape how things are done
- The stability and reach of a global organisation, with the energy of a start-up
- An inclusive, equal opportunity workplace that values ownership, teamwork and continuous improvement
