Job Title: Export and Import Logistics Coordinator

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Export and Import Logistics Coordinator. This role requires a candidate with exceptional organizational skills, a strong understanding of export and import procedures, and the ability to analyze complex logistical challenges. The ideal candidate will possess a high IQ, excellent reasoning skills, and a proven track record of success in managing export and import shipments.

Responsibilities:

• Export and Import Coordination: Manage the end-to-end process of export and import shipments, including documentation, customs clearance, freight forwarding, and transportation arrangements.
• Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including import/export laws, sanctions, tariffs, and trade agreements. Stay updated on changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
• Logistics Optimization: Analyse shipping routes, transportation modes, and freight costs to optimize logistics operations and minimize expenses. Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
• Supplier and Vendor Management: Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to supply chain operations. Proactively address issues related to delays, damages, or other logistical challenges.
• Data Analysis: Utilize analytical tools and techniques to analyse logistical data, identify trends, and generate insights that drive informed decision-making. Present findings and recommendations to management for continuous improvement.
• Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with internal teams, including sales, procurement, and warehouse, to coordinate shipment schedules and ensure alignment of logistics activities with business objectives. Communicate effectively with external partners to resolve logistical issues and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline logistics operations, enhance efficiency, and optimize costs. Identify opportunities for automation and digitalization to improve workflow effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in export and import logistics, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
• Exceptional reasoning skills and high IQ, demonstrated through problem-solving ability and strategic thinking.
• Proficiency in logistics software and tools, including ERP systems, transportation management systems, and data analytics platforms.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in managing documentation and logistics processes.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong sense of accountability and ownership, with a proactive approach to resolving challenges and driving results.
