Motor Guardian Co. (MGC) provides safety technology for commercial fleets, forklifts, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities. Our solutions include LytxOne dashcams and connected camera services, KIGIS proximity alert systems, pedestrian detection technology, safety projectors, and gate-control applications. We help customers select suitable equipment and coordinate installation, support, and integration with their existing systems.

The opportunity

We are looking for an organized, technically capable person who anticipates what the team needs and takes action. You will support company leadership, keep customer projects and daily operations moving, and build dependable processes that give our sales team more time with customers.

This search will result in one full-time hire. MGC is considering candidates for this operations position and a separate technical sales position to determine the best addition to our small team.

What you will do

· Coordinate orders, shipping, inventory records, installation schedules, subscriptions, returns, and customer support follow-up. Keep records accurate and flag delays early.

· Become familiar with our cameras, proximity systems, projectors, and gate applications. Review manuals and specifications, gather technical questions, and coordinate answers with suppliers and installers.

· Support integration projects by organizing requirements, compatibility details, action items, and documentation. Help leadership understand technical options and unresolved issues.

· Maintain CRM contacts, lead records, opportunity notes, reminders, and follow-up tasks. Research prospective customers and create accurate leads for the sales team.

· Attend sales meetings, prepare agendas and materials, capture decisions, and follow through on assigned actions. Make customer calls to confirm information, arrange meetings, and support follow-up.

· Prepare quotation drafts, presentations, onboarding materials, and operating procedures for review. Keep shared files organized and current.

· Use AI extensively to research products, summarize meetings, analyze spreadsheets, prepare documents, and improve repeatable workflows. Check results before using or sharing them.

· Anticipate upcoming needs, identify gaps, and propose improvements without waiting for every task to be assigned. Support company leadership with scheduling and other daily responsibilities.

What you bring

· Experience in operations, sales support, customer support, project coordination, or administration within a technology, commercial equipment, fleet, warehouse, manufacturing, or related business.

· Strong organization and attention to detail. You can manage competing priorities, keep commitments visible, and close the loop on requests.

· Demonstrated initiative: examples of identifying a problem or upcoming need, proposing a solution, and carrying it through.

· Confidence using CRM, spreadsheets, email, shared documents, and digital task systems. Advanced practical use of AI is especially important for this role.

· Practical technical aptitude is required. You can learn electronic products, read specifications and installation manuals, and understand basic power, wiring, connectivity, and system interfaces. An engineering degree is not required.

· Experience using AI tools in actual work is required. You can use tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot to research, draft, analyze information, and improve repeatable workflows, while checking accuracy and protecting customer information.

· Strong integrity, reliable follow-through, clear communication, and sound judgment. You are comfortable explaining what you know, identifying what needs verification, and asking the right technical questions.

· Flexibility to handle different responsibilities in a small company, learn unfamiliar products, and complete work with limited supervision.

Helpful experience

Dashcams, telematics, forklifts or industrial electronics; installation or technical support coordination; workflow automation; inventory or subscription administration; and CRM cleanup or lead research. Sales closing experience is not required.

This is an on-site position at 2200 Estes Avenue, 2nd Floor, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007. You will work closely with company leadership and may help with customer meetings, demonstrations, or events.
