About Us: The Luxury Transport Group – trading as Limousine Services Queenstown & Guided Tours – is a family-owned and operated company offering bespoke luxury transport services across the South Island. We specialise in custom sightseeing, private wine tours, multi-day touring, and conference/incentive groups.
We are seeking a versatile Operations Assistant & Driver-Guide to join our team. This dynamic role balances operations and fleet management with delivering outstanding service as a driver-guide, reporting directly to our Duty Managers and Operations Manager. The role is wide-ranging and perfect if you're a bit of an 'all-rounder', or a fast learner. You must be a self-starter with good initiative and a get up and go attitude.
Important Details: This is a fixed-term role until April 2026, perfect if you have a winter job or prefer a quieter winter.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations & Fleet Support:
- Complete operations tasks, assisting driver-guides with problem-solving and minor fixes.
- Ensure driver-guides have the necessary tools (e.g welcome signs, tour sheets, documents).
- Ensure health and safety compliance with accurate record-keeping and a good eye for detail.
- Take ownership of fleet maintenance, vehicle checks and vehicle cleaning with assistance from the wider operations team and management.
- Manage stock of water, cleaning products and misc items such as microphones, fuel cards and comfort kits.
- Take pride in your workplace and keep things looking sharp all the time.
2. Driver-Guide Duties:
- Safely transport clients while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Share local knowledge and insights to enhance client experiences.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, well-presented, and fully prepared for use.
- Pick-up last-minute bookings as directed by the management team.
3. Adapting to the flow of the business:
- Assist with reservations if required and directed by management.
- Administrative duties including filing logbook sheets and oversight of driver vehicle checks
- Other tasks deemed reasonable and suitable to your capabilities, we are a small but mighty ops team and each role requires a great deal of flexibility and adaptability, smiling all the way!
Skills & Attributes:
- A clean driving record and P Endorsement license (required).
- A can-do attitude and flexibility in handling various tasks.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with a genuine interest in people.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A mechanical aptitude or basic awareness of vehicle maintenance.
- Enthusiasm for both operations and high-quality driving services.
What We Offer:
- Flexible working hours with potential for full or part-time employment.
- A supportive and collaborative work environment.
- The opportunity to work with a respected luxury transport company in a varied and engaging role.
