Operations Assistant

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Operations Assistant to join our team at Pinkenba, working with Avant loaders and attachments.

This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working with machinery, keeping things organised and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe and efficient yard and warehouse.

You will work alongside our team to ensure machinery, attachments, parts and deliveries are organised and ready for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Unloading trucks and receiving incoming stock
• Unpacking shipping containers from time to time
• General warehouse and yard duties
• Keeping the yard and warehouse clean, tidy and organised
• Racking and organising loader attachments
• Picking and packing customer deliveries, machinery and attachments
• Preparing attachments and equipment for delivery
• Parts pick-ups and deliveries
• Stock control and regular stocktakes
• Learning and completing pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) on Avant loaders and attachments
• General maintenance and presentation of the yard, warehouse and equipment
• Other duties associated with the day-to-day operation of the dealership

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
• Comfortable with manual handling
• Organised and able to work independently
• Safety-conscious and has a good eye for detail
• Comfortable working around machinery and equipment
• A team player with a positive attitude
• Willing to learn and take on additional responsibilities

Mechanical knowledge or experience with machinery would be highly regarded, although training will be provided for the right person.

Tickets & Licences

Essential:

• Current forklift licence
• Current Drivers licence

Highly regarded:

• HR or MR truck licence
• Mechanical or machinery experience
• Experience in warehousing, transport, machinery dealerships or similar industries
