The SEN Support Space is growing, and we’re looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic person to join our small team!

A key part of this role will be helping us deliver Peace of Cake — our new mindful cookery programme for children and young people with SEND. This will likely take place on evenings and weekends so availability during these times is key.

Peace of Cake uses simple, accessible cooking activities to help children develop confidence, independence, practical skills and wellbeing in a relaxed, supportive environment.

When Peace of Cake sessions aren't running, your hours will be used to support the day-to-day work of The SEN Support Space, including general charity administration and helping us keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Warm, patient and confident working with children and families Understanding and supportive of children and young people with SEND Comfortable leading small group activities Organised and able to help with general administration Confident using basic IT and completing everyday admin tasks Reliable, flexible and happy to get stuck in Able to work both independently and as part of our team

Previous SEND experience would be fantastic, but finding the right person is just as important to us.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check and complete relevant safeguarding and food hygiene training.

Pay: £12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 per week
