We’re looking for Operations Assistants / Parcel Sorters to join our Christchurch Summer Crew and help keep freight moving through our busiest time of the year.

This is a great opportunity if you’ve just finished school, wrapped up uni for the year, or simply want some extra work over summer. No freight experience? No worries**.** We’re looking for people with a good attitude who are reliable, safety-conscious and happy to roll up their sleeves.

Start dates available from 27th October but can have flexibility for those only able to start later due to study commitments.

Morning shift: 4:00am – 9:00am
Afternoon shift: 3:00pm – 8:00pm

What you’ll be doing - Mō te tūranga

You’ll work alongside our Christchurch Operations team, helping make sure freight is handled safely and gets where it needs to go.

 Your shift can involve:

·       Sorting parcels by suburb and regional location on the sorting belt

• Strapping and unstrapping freight and making sure loads are secure
• Sorting and marking up freight for the right destinations
• Re-cubing and remeasuring freight
• Helping coordinate freight through the depot
• Safely handling freight and keeping the operation moving
• Working with the wider team during our busy peak period

You don't need to come to us with loads of experience. We'll show you the ropes.

• Are reliable and turn up ready to work
• Can follow instructions and work well as part of a team
• Have a positive attitude and are keen to learn
• Are comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment
