Auto Obsession has been selling classic and performance car parts since 1999. From our shop in Simi Valley we ship restoration and performance parts to enthusiasts across the country through our website, autoobsession.com, and our eBay store. We're a small team, which means the work is varied, your contribution is visible, and there is real room to grow.

The role

We're looking for a dependable, detail-minded Operations Associate to help keep orders moving from the moment a customer clicks "buy" to the moment the part lands on their doorstep. Much of our order flow, inventory and pricing now runs on automated systems, so a big part of this job is being the human check on that automation: reviewing what ran each day, catching anything that looks wrong, and fixing or escalating it before it reaches a customer. You'll also cross-train across our order desk, customer service and shipping. This is a hands-on role with a clear path into more operations responsibility for the right person.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, on-site in Simi Valley

Pay: $20.00–$21.00 per hour to start

What you'll do

• Review daily automation reports (order imports, tracking updates, inventory and price feeds) and confirm the results are correct

• Spot-check orders, tracking numbers, stock levels and prices on our website, eBay and internal system, and fix or flag anything that's off

• Handle the exceptions automation can't: unusual orders, missing tracking, vendor backorders

• Place and follow up on vendor orders through to delivery

• Answer customer phone calls and emails about orders, shipping and product fit

• Pack, label and ship orders; receive and check in incoming inventory

• Follow our written procedures, and help improve them (and the automations) when you spot a better way

What we're looking for

• Reliable attendance and punctuality; people count on this seat being filled

• Strong attention to detail: part numbers, addresses, quantities and prices have to be right

• A healthy skepticism: you notice when a number looks wrong and dig in rather than assume the system got it right

• Comfortable on the computer, including email, spreadsheets and learning new software quickly

• Clear, friendly communication by phone and in writing

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for part of the day

• Organized and self-directed: you finish what you start and ask when you're unsure

Nice to have

• Experience in e-commerce, order fulfillment, or a parts counter

• Familiarity with cars, especially classic or performance vehicles

• Experience with eBay, FileMaker, or shipping software (UPS, FedEx, ShipStation)
