Operations Associate Manager | Nuvali

📋 About the Role

We are seeking an Operations Associate Manager to support the day-to-day management and overall operational efficiency of our retail property assignment. In this role, you will work closely with the Operations Manager or General Manager to align local mall activities with broader strategic direction, oversee safety and facilities maintenance, monitor merchant compliance, and manage daily property standards to deliver a seamless shopping experience.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

Strategic Alignment & Administration

• Assist the Operations Manager or General Manager in communicating and aligning operational strategy and performance goals across the local mall team.
• Support day-to-day administration and operational functions across safety, security, sustainability, and facility management.

Mall Operations & Quality Standards

• Conduct daily mall inspections (opening, mid-shift, and closing) to enforce merchant, customer, and sub-unit compliance with established operating policies and procedures.
• Maintain high property presentation standards through daily checks and periodic preventive maintenance covering cleanliness, lighting, HVAC levels, common areas, restrooms, parking zones, and service areas.
• Swiftly handle and resolve on-site conflicts or disputes involving merchants, visitors, and customers in coordination with security, ensuring zero disruption to mall operations.

Safety, Risk & Sustainability

• Identify, document, and report health and safety risks to management to protect employees, merchants, contractors, and mall patrons.
• Execute cost-saving initiatives and sustainability programs to optimize resources and reduce Direct Operating Expenses (DOES).

Reporting & Analytics

• Collect, analyze, and document statistical data to pinpoint operational issues and propose sound recommendations for process improvements.

• Prepare and submit regular operational reports, including:

  • Summary of Daily Operations Inspection and Monitoring
  • Summary of Cost Savings Initiatives and Sustainability Projects
  • Key Result Area (KRA) setting and tracking for operations staff

• Perform other management-mandated operational duties as required.

🎓 Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related business/technical field.

• Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of proven experience in operations management within the retail property, commercial real estate, or shopping mall industries.

• Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to handle presentations, negotiations, facilitation, and team training across all organizational levels.

• Operational Leadership: Functional skills in project coordination, planning, people management, and team leadership.

• Business & Financial Acumen: Practical understanding of operational budgets, cost control, and how business decisions impact property performance.

• Technical & Software Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and MS Visio.
  • Working familiarity with enterprise software such as SAP or Oracle.
