Operations Auditor

Job Summary
The Operations Auditor will be responsible for reviewing and monitoring the company’s operational activities across outlets, sales operations, inventory, cash handling, procurement, and customer-facing processes. The role is focused on identifying operational gaps, reducing losses, ensuring compliance with company procedures, and providing practical recommendations for improving efficiency and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular audits of outlet operations, inventory, sales records, cash transactions, and operational processes.
• Verify physical stock against system and manual records and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor stock movement, wastage, damages, expired products, and unexplained losses.
• Review daily sales reports, cash reconciliations, receipts, and payment records.
• Identify operational irregularities, control weaknesses, and potential cases of fraud or process abuse.
• Ensure outlets comply with approved operational policies and procedures.
• Conduct surprise checks and periodic outlet inspections.
• Review staff adherence to procedures for receiving, storing, displaying, and selling confectionery products.
• Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, risks, and recommended corrective actions.
• Follow up on previously identified issues to ensure corrective measures have been implemented.
• Work with the Operations, Finance, Sales, and Management teams to strengthen internal controls.
• Monitor adherence to food handling, hygiene, storage, and product quality requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation of audit activities and findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in internal audit, operations audit, retail audit, FMCG operations, or a related role.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and investigative skills.
• Good knowledge of inventory management and reconciliation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies.
• Ability to work independently and conduct field/outlet visits.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Experience in FMCG, retail, food, or confectionery businesses will be an advantage.
