The Opportunity
 
Due to continued growth, our client is recruiting an Operations Broking Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of the insurance team while managing a portfolio of commercial clients. This hybrid role combines leadership, workflow optimisation, and hands-on broking responsibilities. The successful candidate will ensure operational efficiency, support team performance, and deliver high-quality broking services to B2B clients.
 
This role will be based onsite at the Mascot office.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational activities across the brokerage
• Manage a portfolio of commercial clients, delivering tailored insurance solutions
• Build and maintain strong B2B relationships, ensuring high levels of retention and satisfaction
• Develop, refine and implement efficient workflows, procedures and compliance processes
• Lead and support brokers and account managers, providing guidance, training and performance oversight
• Monitor operational KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with senior leadership on business planning, resourcing and strategic priorities
• Conduct policy reviews, prepare renewals, negotiate terms and place cover

What You'll Bring

• Minimum 5 years' experience in general insurance broking (commercial lines essential)
• Tier 1 qualified
• Strong background in commercial and B2B broking, with proven portfolio management experience
• Demonstrated operations or management experience within an insurance brokerage or similar
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisational capability with the ability to manage competing priorities
• High attention to detail and commitment to compliance
