Operations Control Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Prepares monthly Operational Profit &Loss reports to ensure timely and accurate submission to management and business units while also assists in reviewing and analyzing cost/expense drivers to ensure effective process and allocation. Participates in budget preparation and related special projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Assist in reviewing cost and expense drivers to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimal allocation, while also participating in related cost-saving special projects to enhance operational efficiency.

• Compute and provide a summary of the allocation of shared services for billback to parties and affiliates to ensure the equitable distribution of operational costs.

• Prepare and review monthly Operational P&L Reports for submission to management and business units, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting business decision-making. Reports include:

  • Food & Beverage Outlets
  • Hotels (HIEX)
  • Non-Gaming and Shared Services units

• Conduct regular Financial Statement reviews and analyses to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records, suggesting adjusting entries as necessary.

• Participate in annual budget preparation for Food and Beverage Outlets, Hotels, Non-Gaming and Shared Services units to ensure accurate budget reports prior to management’s approval.

• Prepare ad hoc management reports as requested to support informed decision-making and timely response to business needs.

Training and Development & Others

• Participate in training and seminars to support continuous professional and personal development.

People Management

• Performance Management: Come up with strategies that will help direct reports achieve their performance goals, and drive high performance. This also includes conducting performance planning, goal setting, and evaluations.
• Coaching and Mentoring: Provides guidance to direct reports in performing their areas of responsibility, and support their growth and development.
• Employee Engagement: Implement initiatives and provide a work environment that will promote employee engagement and high commitment to the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management course; or Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
• At least five (5) years of experience, preferably in the hotel operations industry
• At least two (2) years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role
