What they need
When access, equipment, vendors and change windows are coordinated well, technology feels quiet. That quiet is the outcome this Cincinnati IT team wants its next Operations Coordinator to create.
The position connects everyday support with the operational work behind it: onboarding and offboarding, asset records, scheduled changes, vendor follow-up and clear incident communication. It is a step beyond a help desk queue without being a senior engineering role.
Keep the moving parts visible
In practical terms: Coordinate user access requests, equipment preparation and documented approvals; Maintain accurate hardware, software and vendor records; Schedule routine maintenance and change activity with affected teams; Track incident actions, owners and customer-facing updates; Prepare recurring service reports and follow up on overdue work; Reconcile assigned equipment and access records during scheduled control checks; Keep standard operating notes current when an approved process changes.
A good fit looks like
You should have practical experience in IT support, service coordination or a technical operations environment. The role requires accurate documentation, sound handling of access information and the ability to explain status to nontechnical colleagues. Familiarity with a ticketing system and Microsoft 365 is expected; experience with asset or change records is helpful. Deep engineering expertise is not required, and this position should not be screened as a cloud engineer role. You should also be willing to follow access controls consistently and raise an exception instead of working around it.
The practical details
The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The first 60 days are on-site in Cincinnati for access setup, process training and working relationships. If approved, limited hybrid work may follow. Planned maintenance can require an occasional evening coordination window; it will be scheduled in advance and does not create a permanent 24-hour on-call expectation.
Control without unnecessary delay
The IT Operations Coordinator should make routine work easier to trace, not slower to complete. Within 90 days, you should be able to run the access and equipment checklist for a new starter, prepare a change schedule and produce a clear incident action log. You will work with technical owners who make engineering decisions, while you protect approvals, dates, records and communication. Success means fewer missing handoffs and a service picture that can be trusted during an audit or escalation.
Bring order to the queue
Submit your resume on Indeed and highlight any experience with assets, access, incidents or service reporting. The IT Operations Coordinator should be comfortable owning follow-up even when someone else completes the technical task.
