Operations Coordinator – Freight Forwarding

ISS Palumbo is looking for an Operations Coordinator

to join our Operations Department in Cairo.

The successful candidate will manage and coordinate freight shipments throughout the entire operational cycle, ensuring timely execution, accurate documentation, and effective communication with clients, suppliers, and agents.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipments from Purchase Order to final delivery.
• Liaise with suppliers, clients, and forwarding agents.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively manage operational issues.
• Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, FCRs and Bills of Lading.
• Maintain accurate shipment records within our logistics management system.
• Request and evaluate quotations from agents and coordinate bookings.
• Verify shipment costs and support the preparation of client invoices.

What we are looking for

• Previous experience in freight forwarding, shipping or logistics operations .
• Good knowledge of shipping documentation and freight forwarding processes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel and logistics management systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
