Operations Director

JOBS SUMMARY:

The Operations Director is responsible for overseeing and leading the overall operational functions of the organization, including Production, Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), and Environment. This role ensures operational excellence, compliance with regulatory requirements, product quality, workplace safety, and continuous improvement initiatives to support business objectives and sustainable growth.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Production Management

1. Lead and manage overall production operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

2. Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with company objectives.

3. Monitor production planning, capacity utilization, and operational performance to achieve KPIs and delivery targets.

4. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.

Quality Assurance & Quality Control

5. Oversee QA/QC functions to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.

6. Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of quality management systems and certifications.

7. Lead investigations and corrective/preventive actions related to quality issues and customer complaints.

8. Promote a quality-focused culture across all operational functions.

Environment

9. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.

10. Develop and initiatives to promote a safe working environment.

11. Monitor workplace safety performance and risk assessments.

Leadership & Strategic Management

12. Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to department managers and operational teams.

13. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support business growth and operational excellence.

14. Prepare and manage operational budgets, resource planning, and capital expenditure initiatives.

15. Analyze operational data and provide reports and recommendations to senior management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCES:

·         Bachelor’s degree of Engineering in any related field.

·         A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Industrial Management or Production with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role

·         Strong knowledge of production operations, quality systems.

·         Proven leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.

·         Excellent communication and people management abilities.
