What they need
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey.
This role supports the new hospitals facilities programme (NHFP) in Jersey - a £700m, multi-site healthcare programme delivering transformational health infrastructure across the island.
The programme comprises four sites, with the 47,500m² new acute hospital at Overdale forming the majority of delivery, alongside ambulatory facilities, a health village and a wellbeing centre. The Overdale scheme is currently at RIBA Stage 4, moving to RIBA Stage 5 in Q2 2026, with completion targeted for end of 2029.
Note: The role will be site based in Jersey three days per week, suitable for long-term weekly travel or relocation.
You’ll Be Responsible For
- Managing delivery as NEC Project Lead (construction) for the Overdale acute hospital.
- Providing visible, site-based leadership through the construction phase.
- Managing NEC4 contract administration and working closely with the main works delivery partner.
- Driving programme certainty, risk management and performance in line with agreed outcomes.
- Managing stakeholder engagement across client, clinical, contractor and supply chain teams.
- Supporting transition from design to construction following a complex, multi-stage procurement process.
You’ll Need To Have
- Proven experience delivering large-scale healthcare or complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to operate in a high-profile, stakeholder-rich environment.
- Extensive NEC4 contract experience, ideally as an NEC Accredited Project Manager.
- Experience working through RIBA Stages 4-5 on major construction schemes.
