Operations Engineer

Salary: €65,000–€90,000 gross per year (depending on experience and qualifications)

UGROW is partnering with a financial services company to recruit an experienced MT4/MT5 Operations Engineer to join its global Operations Engineering team.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing trading engine technologies and MT4/MT5 server infrastructure, supporting client onboarding, and configuring proprietary trading and analytics platforms.

You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of the company's trading technology infrastructure, working closely with internal teams and external clients. The position also offers the opportunity to contribute to automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, configure, and maintain trading technology solutions for liquidity management and order execution.
• Configure and support trading engines and post-trade analytics platforms.
• Manage MT4/MT5 server infrastructure, including symbols, groups, gateways, and trade execution rules.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure high availability of trading platforms.
• Manage technical client onboarding, ensuring accurate and efficient infrastructure setup.
• Implement failover procedures and backup solutions to maintain system resilience and business continuity.
• Support change management activities, including software updates, platform configurations, and infrastructure changes.
• Develop and implement automation solutions to eliminate repetitive manual tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with a global operations team to support trading activities across different market hours and time zones.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience managing MT4/MT5 server infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of trading bridge and trading engine technologies, such as Centroid, FXCubic, OneZero, or PrimeXM.
• Experience with trading platform configuration, infrastructure management, and technical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with the FIX protocol and post-trade data processing.
• Good knowledge of Windows Server administration, including performance monitoring and optimisation.
• Experience with client technical onboarding and infrastructure configuration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of risk analytics and post-trade analytics platforms.
• Understanding of network protocols, monitoring tools, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Linux server environments.
• Experience with automation and scripting using Python, PowerShell, or similar tools.
