Job Summary

The Operations Executive supports the Area Operations Manager in ensuring the smooth daily operations of all duty-free retail outlets, including liquor retail, bar, confectionery café and any others upcoming outlet.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Retail Operations

• Assist in overseeing the daily operations of all assigned duty-free retail outlets.
• Ensure operational SOPs are properly implemented and followed.
• Conduct regular outlet inspections to ensure operational standards are maintained.
• Support outlet opening, renovation, and new project setup.

2. Inventory & Stock Management

• Monitor inventory accuracy and stock movement.
• Assist in Purchase Orders (PO) and Purchase Return (PR).
• Assist in stock take, variance investigation, and inventory reconciliation.
• Monitor slow-moving, aging, and markdown inventory.

3. Duty Free & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with duty-free regulations and internal control procedures.
• Coordinate documentation relating to Customs (JKDM), permits, and product movements.
• Maintain accurate operational records and supporting documents.
• Assist during government inspections and compliance audits.

4. Operations Coordination

• Work closely with Warehouse, Finance, Marketing, Retail & Restaurant teams.
• Coordinate maintenance issues and operational support.
• Support event planning and execution, including openings and promotional activities.

5.Continuous Improvement

• Identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements.
• Assist in developing and updating SOPs.
• Participate in projects to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.

Job Requirements

• Experience in inventory management and retail reporting is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Malaysian Customs procedures will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to travel between outlets when required.
