Operations Executive

Key responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day shipping operations and documentation to ensure shipments are executed accurately and on schedule
• Coordinate with suppliers, buyers, ship brokers, ship owners, agents, surveyors, insurance companies and other stakeholders to support smooth loading, shipment and delivery
• Prepare, review and follow up on shipping documents, including letters of credit, bank negotiations and collection documentation
• Track and follow up on shipping claims, demurrage matters and related operational issues to ensure prompt resolution

About you

• Diploma or Degree in any discipline
• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in shipping operations, trade operations or a related field
• Experience in commodity trading, letters of credit and shipping documentation will be an added advantage
• Meticulous, responsible and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in English
• Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage, as the role requires liaison with China counterparts
